Lighthouse Center, Meditation and Spiritual DevelopmentBridge between East and West

As a bridge between the East and West, The Lighthouse Center Inc. focuses on supporting people in their spiritual philosophies and journey, while always being mindful of Divine Order. The center is an oasis of peace, well-being and healing. The vibrations at the center are comparable to the ancient places of worship around the world that are peaceful, loving and energizing. This is a non-denominational meditation center and was founded in 1979 by Chetana Catherine Florida, who was our guiding teacher.

Ahinsa, 'Living in Peace with All Beings'

There is a deep commitment to developing inner peace and peace in the world, as we practice meditation and Ahinsa, 'Living in Peace with All Beings', toward ourselves, others and all beings. We respect other points of view and strive to live in harmony and compassion with nature and all living beings. We believe that this is the greatest opportunity for spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Practicing Vegetarian and Vegan Lifestyles

The practice of Ahinsa has influenced the center to encourage a vegetarian and vegan dietary lifestyle striving to grow in understanding that all beings live their own spiritual path, and by living in peace with all beings, it helps us move forward toward spiritual enlightenment. All shared food at the center is plant based and vegetarian, and we delight in the great source of those at our center who create, educate and share a vegan lifestyle with Love. Visit our growing Vegan Lifestyle community.

Metaphysical and Meditation Classes

The center offers many types of classes which are influenced by our late guiding teacher, Chetana Catherine Florida, who was a beloved teacher of many at the center. She developed many of the metaphysical and meditation classes, which are still being taught today. The center also offers meditation classes that teach Mantra Meditation, in the Jain tradition. Register for one of our ongoing classes or drop in to one of our weekly programs.

Gurudev Chitrabhanu and the Jain Philosophy

Some of our members choose to embrace the Jain philosophy with Gurudev Chitrabhanu as their guiding teacher. Gurudev Chitrabhanu travels from India each year to the United States to teach Jainism. He visits the center several times during the year to share the Jain philosophy. Find out more at jainmeditation.org. All are welcome to his weekends of teaching.

Giving as a Spiritual Philosophy

The center also practices giving as part of its spiritual philosophy, and monthly donates to Sasha Farms and Partners in Health. In addition, it has created the Caring Community, which supports those in need.

Your Invitation to our Healing Center

Members of the center have experienced healing miracles of all kinds and a great variety of healing arts is represented through the membership. The Lighthouse Center has many strengths, of which the single largest, is the healing energy.

We invite you to explore our website, visit the center, take classes, participate, and be a part of our community. We are a non-denominational spiritual community dedicating itself to sharing and helping others live a life of Ahinsa, peace and well-being.

All are Welcome!
